Rainbow Six Siege’s rise in popularity
Ubisoft announced Rainbow 6: Patriots in 2011, but dropped the idea of Rainbow Six Siege, a multiplayer-focused game.
The gaming community had mixed responses.
The marketing of the game was then interrupted in 2015, following the terrorist attack in Paris.
Siege was available globally, but no one except hardcore Rainbow 6 fans really knew anything about it.
Today, millions of players are devoted to the game and it is one of the most popular games in the Ubisoft collection.

Reverse Friendly Fire
Simply put, reverse friendly fire will reflect all shots made on teammates on the shooter.
This means that anyone who deliberately enjoys hurting their teammates will start hurting themselves, leaving victims unscathed.
However, in the heat of a match, your teammates can accidentally get caught in the crossfire, so it won’t activate unless you seriously injure your teammates.
This should prevent it from causing controversy over the game among the player base.
This reputation penalty will last for several matches to keep trolls in line.

Inactive accounts deleted after four years
Although Ubisoft claims not to close accounts for at least four years, it is required to close inactive accounts for privacy reasons.
Players are advised to periodically log into their Ubisoft account to avoid account termination.
Be vigilant by checking the email associated with your Ubisoft account, or if it is an email that you no longer use, be sure to modify it on your account.
If you receive an email from Ubisoft, you will have 30 days to act before your account is closed.
There will be a link in the email that you need to click on to keep your account active.
This will cancel the closure of your account and your access will remain valid.
Ubisoft’s first name
Ubisoft’s games service was formerly called Uplay and operated similarly to Steam.
Players will need to download the Ubisoft Game Launcher, later renamed the Uplay client, in order to play Ubisoft games on PC.
Uplay was rebranded to Ubisoft Connect in October 2020 and all games were transferred to Ubisoft Connect.
Apparently, some players don’t log into their Ubisoft account often.
